I froze in my case interview. The interviewer just watched

I was in the middle of my answer. Explaining the framework. Going through the numbers. Then I stopped. Forgot the next step. Forgot what I was saying. Forgot everything.

The interviewer just watched. Didn't say anything. Didn't help. Just waited.

I stood there. For what felt like hours. Probably 20 seconds. I didn't recover. I didn't finish. I walked out. Didn't get the job. Haven't done a case interview since. 😶

The silence is the hardest part. They're not being cruel. They're testing how you handle pressure. You froze. That's human. Now you know. Next time, say "give me a moment" or walk through your logic out loud. Silence is the test. – M
